An Invitation to Collaborate

As the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race embarks on its 2025 journey, it invites not only sailors but also storytellers, adventurers, and those pursuing transformation. I’m writing to propose a collaboration that blends immersive storytelling with the spirit of the race — a unique opportunity to document Legs 7 & 8 through professional photography, journalistic narrative, and a deep human lens.

Why this, Why now?

I currently serve as the Manager of Innovation at ISL Engineering, a leading Canadian engineering firm, where I lead company-wide efforts to implement AI and digital transformation initiatives. It’s a role I’ve worked hard to grow into — one that challenges me daily and sits at the frontier of technological progress.

And yet, working at the forefront of automation and machine intelligence has also deepened my appreciation for something distinctly human: authentic creativity.

That realization has drawn me back to my first love — photography.

For the past five years, I’ve pursued professional photography alongside my career, capturing moments of love, adventure, and architecture. Now, I’m answering the call to go further. My vision is to transition toward adventure and expedition photography full time, blending storytelling, human experience, and the wild beauty of the world.

This pitch is part of that dream — and a step toward turning it into something real.

What I bring

  • Military experience with the Royal Canadian Air Force

  • Civil & military piloting experience

  • Intelligence and Security experience in technology including quantum, nuclear and AI.

  • Moderate sailing experience and a highly motivated desire to become a world class sailor

Make It

The Clipper Race isn’t just a competition — it’s a stage for human transformation. This collaboration is designed to reflect and amplify that. My journey is part of the bigger Clipper story: courageous, unexpected, and full of purpose. The story of becoming more human.
