I spent a quiet afternoon photographing Khal Joyce through the streets of Victoria, B.C. He was the focus, and I simply followed the rhythm of the city as we moved through familiar sidewalks, alleyways, and storefronts. Khal’s calm presence and thoughtful style made the shoot feel easy and natural—nothing forced, just real moments in a place he clearly knows well.

The city offered a fitting backdrop for someone so grounded in the everyday details of urban life. It was a pleasure to document a bit of his world, right here in the city we both call home.
